Following the race, Jack Mitchell reported that Ruling Master (IRE), placed second, hung left-handed.
An enquiry was held to consider interference on the run to the line when Ruling Master (IRE), placed second, ridden by Jack Mitchell interfered with Cloth Of Gold (IRE), placed third, ridden by Jason Hart.
The interference was found to be accidental as Ruling Master (IRE) hung left-handed despite the best efforts of Mitchell, causing Hart to ease momentarily.
