Inside the final furlong, the winner Bluff (GB), drifted left-handed despite the riders best efforts, carrying Erosion Risk (IRE), placed second, off its line and both thereafter drifted left-handed independently to the line with Erosion Risk (IRE) losing no momentum but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Bluff (GB).
Following the race, Aidan Keeley reported that Erosion Risk (IRE), placed second, hung right-handed early in the home straight and William Carver reported that Matching Sox (IRE), placed fourth, reared as the stalls opened and as a result was slowly away.
