Star Of State in a different league

She was very impressive. We liked her going to Fairyhouse and we were very happy with that run. You don't really see more impressive maiden winners than that. I don't know how strong a race it was, or not. I'm delighted for State Of Rest (his Cox Plate and Prince Of Wales winner). Delighted for Mr. Jaber, it's our first winner for him. She looks a very exciting filly. Dylan said she's got plenty of pace for six (furlongs) and he thinks she'll probably have no trouble with seven. I think there's lots to look forward to. Mr. Jaber mentioned that we might go to the Lowther next month, so I suppose we'll see how she pulls up and then we'll make those plans.

Dylan just said she still felt quite green and, is still immature. At the same time, he couldn't fault her from a wide draw. You'd like to think she's a filly that will have no trouble going a mile in time. The last day, she actually just fell out of the gates and, around Roscommon it's kind of all over. Her last furlong-and-a-half was pretty good and, we thought if she could get a better spot today, she'd be a lot closer to the Bolger filly and, that's how it worked out.

First winner for Rebecca Parsons

Rebecca's a great kid. She's with me a year-and-a-half now at this stage I'd say. She drives an hour and ten or fifteen minutes every morning in, and the same home. She's well able to ride-she's some value for 10lb, and we'll be using her a bit. The filly had her first run of the season over five (furlongs) at Naas and that was a good run. Not really her trip, but she stayed on well. She looks like she could even step up in trip there. We'll see what the handicapper does, but she's going the right way anyway.

Slattery sets sights on Galway Mile with improving Loughrea

We held him up today, just to learn a bit. I entered him in the Galway Mile there yesterday and that's where we'll go I'd say. He's learning the whole time. He was a bit green in the Curragh and learned a good bit there. His work has improved since then, and I think he'll improve again. Hopefully he does anyway, it's only his third run. The Galway Mile is a big ask, I suppose, for an inexperienced horse, but he seems to have it.

He was slow away. . He was unlucky in Navan and then he got blocked in the Curragh. If you look at him, a big, strapping, strong horse, he needed to grow up and he did.

She didn't get a truly-run race at times. She has to be ridden for a bit of luck too, and things fell her way today. I was half-slagging Billy on the way in, that he went too soon! As he says himself, she seems to like just getting in behind and having something different happening. . She obviously has a bit of ability because she quickened up well, and then she seemed to think she had enough done. 

Breakthrough victory for Cooley's Mist

He prefers a little bit of ease. Maybe two mile in Galway could be a possibility, if he gets an ease. . He's in here next week as well over a mile and seven. If it doesn't rain, he won't be going anywhere. Chris was good on him, I have to say.
