You'd like to think she's a filly that will have no trouble going a mile in time. The last day, she actually just fell out of the gates and, around Roscommon it's kind of all over. Her last furlong-and-a-half was pretty good and, we thought if she could get a better spot today, she'd be a lot closer to the Bolger filly and, that's how it worked out. The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer reported to the Raceday Stewards that Williamsburg trained by David Marnane was found to be a gelding not a colt as shown on the passport. Having considered the report, the Raceday Stewards fined David Marnane €130 in accordance with the provisions of Rule 148 (xii)
L.T. McAteer, rider of Williamsburg, trained by David Marnane, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount rolled around under pressure
S. Foley, rider of Jezzie Bea (USA), trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount changed legs a few times
The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident approximately a furlong and a half from the finish involving Grit And Glory, ridden by W.J. Lee, Bold Move, ridden by G.M. Ryan, and Jezzie Bea (USA), ridden by S. Foley where it appeared W.J. Lee had to check. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. W.J. Lee stated that his mount was going backwards at the time and he didn't have the horse to fill the gap. G.M. Ryan stated that he took a precautionary check. S. Foley stated that he was clear of Bold Move. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards found G.M. Ryan was in breach of Rule 214 in that he had ridden carelessly, and having considered his clean record in this regard the Raceday Stewards suspended him for two racedays
Ms Kate Harrington, Authorised Representative for Mrs John Harrington, trainer of Jezzie Bea (USA), reported to the Clerk of Scales that her charge scoped wrong post race.
