Permission was given for Raqisa (GB) to go early to post wearing a red hood.
Raqisa (GB), trained by Lemos De Souza, ran without its declared tongue strap as the trainer had been unable to fit it to the mare.
An enquiry was held to consider interference approaching the bend shortly after the start involving, Two Plus Two (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Darragh Keenan and Trackman (GB), placed fifth, ridden by Silvestre De Sousa.
Keenan was suspended for 3 days for careless riding as he allowed his mount to shift left- handed when insufficiently clear of Trackman (GB), causing De Sousa to take a check and lose his position.
The performance of Two Plus Two (IRE) which started favourite and finished unplaced, was considered.
The representative of Ed de Giles’s explanation that the gelding ran flat and the race had come too soon having run 8 days previously, was noted.
