Permission was given for Yibir (GB) to wear a red hood to post.
An enquiry was held to consider interference on the run to the line when Sir Lucan (IRE), placed second, ridden by Frankie Dettori, interfered with Third Realm (GB), placed third, ridden by Andrea Atzeni, who in turn interfered with Youth Spirit (IRE), placed fourth, ridden by Tom Marquand, who in turn interfered with Wordsworth (IRE), placed fifth, ridden by Ryan Moore.
The interference was found to be accidental as Sir Lucan (IRE) hung sharply right-handed, before being quickly corrected by Dettori, carrying Third Realm (GB) on to Youth Spirit which in turn caused Moore to have to take a slight check.
Following the race, William Buick reported that Yibir (GB), placed sixth, ran too free.
