THE CHASEMORE FARM EBF MAIDEN STAKES (CLASS 3) (GBB/GBBPLUS RACE) Permission was given for First Law (IRE) to wear a red hood to the start.
An enquiry was held to consider the placings in this race after interference inside the final furlong involving the winner, First Law (IRE), ridden by Connor Planas; Flight Tracker (GB), placed second, ridden by Callum Rodriguez and See The Mountain (GB), placed fourth, ridden by Oisin Murphy.
The Stewards considered that the interference had not improved the placing of First Law (IRE) as the original right-handed movement of Flight Tracker (GB) was independent, thereafter First Law (IRE) edged right-handed, before being corrected by Planas, intimidating Flight Tracker (GB) slightly off its intended line at this point First Law (IRE), who came from behind, had appeared to be always holding Flight Tracker (GB) with the winning distance a head at the line.
The Stewards therefore ordered the placings to remain unaltered.
The interference was found to be accidental in that First Law (IRE) drifted slightly right-handed despite Planas' best efforts to correct the colt, this movement also resulted in Murphy having to take a slight check.
