THE CORINTHIAN AMATEUR JOCKEYS' HANDICAP STAKES (CLASS 4) Permission was given for Epictetus (IRE), Beach Point (IRE) and What's The Plan (GB) to all wear a red hood to the start.
Tom Clover, was cautioned as Impierious (GB) had arrived in the Parade Ring wearing blinkers instead of its declared visor, which were then located and fitted to the gelding before going to the start.
Mr David Dunsdon the rider of Warning Sign (FR), placed sixth, beaten by a neck, had appeared to stop riding shortly before the winning post.
After being interviewed and shown recordings of the incident, Mr Dunsdon’s explanation that he felt prudent for safety reasons to momentarily ease his mount due to Beach Point (IRE), placed fourth, who was racing upsides, drifting right-handed towards the rail, before its rider corrected the gelding crossing the line, was noted.
Following the race, Mr Jack Loughnane reported that Arcadian Nights (GB), placed fifth, jumped awkwardly from the stalls.
Mr Eireann Cagney reported that his saddle had slipped on What's The Plan (GB), placed second, and that the gelding was also denied a clear run approximately a furlong out.
