Permission was given for Lavida Adiva (IRE) to wear a red hood to the start.
An enquiry was held to consider the placings in this race after interference following the final hurdle when the winner, Miss Cynthia (GB), ridden by Tom Cannon, interfered with Lavida Adiva (IRE), placed second, ridden by Brian Hughes.
The Stewards considered that the interference had not improved the placing of Miss Cynthia (GB) as Lavida Adiva (IRE) was only carried slightly off its intended line before being switched and was always being held to be beaten by ¾ length at the line.
Cannon was cautioned for careless riding as he allowed his mount to shift left-handed causing Hughes to have to take a slight check and switch Lavida Adiva (IRE).
