The winner, Glory Call (IRE) appeared to show improved form compared with its previous run at Newcastle on 27 June 2024 where the gelding finished last of fourteen runners beaten 22 lengths.
The explanation given by the representative of Ollie Pears that the Glory Call (IRE) had appreciated the slight drop in grade on this occasion was noted.
The gelding was routine tested.
Shortly after turning into the home straight the winner, Glory Call (IRE) drifted right-handed before being corrected, intimidating Independent Beauty (GB), placed fourth, off its intended line who in turn carried My Kind Of Girl (FR), placed second, off its intended line causing that filly to give a bump to Perfect Focus (IRE), placed third, as a result.
After viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Glory Call (IRE).
Following the race, Sam Feilden reported Hard Solution (GB), unplaced, was slowly away.
