Approximately ½ a furlong out, Dialstone (GB), placed second, edged slightly left-handed at the same time as Liberate (FR), placed third, shifted marginally right-handed resulting in MOTHER BEAR, unplaced, to become tight for room for several strides, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and it had not improved the placing of Dialstone (GB) or Liberate (FR).
On the run to the line, Dialstone (GB), placed second, shifted quickly left-handed away from the whip before being corrected, making light contact with Liberate (FR), placed third, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and it had not improved the placing of Dialstone (GB).
Following the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that Liberate (FR), placed third, lost its right fore shoe.
