The winner, Montregard (FR), appeared to show improved form compared with its previous run at Uttoxeter on 29 March 2025, where the gelding was pulled up.
Tom Lacey’s explanation that Montregard (FR) benefited from the application of the first-time visor was noted.
Montregard (FR) was routine tested.
Following the race, Ben Jones reported that Gold Link (FR), unplaced, jumped poorly and the Veterinary Officer reported that Pottlerath (IRE), unplaced, finished lame on its right-for leg.
