The Veterinary Officer reported that Archer's Dream (IRE), trained by James Fanshawe, appeared to show evidence of possible administration of a substance on its left jugular vein.
Fanshawe's representative, the Veterinary Officer and an Equine Welfare and Integrity Officer were interviewed.
The trainer's representative explained that Archer's Dream (IRE) had been administered Duphalyte - an electrolyte solution that is given intravenously - on 7 October 2019.
His explanation was noted and being satisfied that the filly had received only normal food and water by mouth on the day of racing, the Stewards allowed Archer's Dream (IRE) to run, and ordered the filly to be routine tested.
A report was forwarded to the Head Office of the British Horseracing Authority for further consideration.
