Having reviewed the start, the Stewards were satisfied that Hartnoll Hero (IRE) had refused to race once the start had been effected and was therefore deemed to be a runner.
An enquiry was held to consider the unruly behaviour of Hartnoll Hero (IRE), which planted in the chute and had to be led to the start before refusing to race once the start had been effected.
Victor Dartnall was interviewed.
Having heard his evidence and noted that the gelding had also refused to race at Wincanton on 14 December 2021 and Taunton on 10 January 2022, the matter was referred to the Head Office of the British Horseracing Authority.
