THE MAGNUM SCAFFOLDING CONTRACTS HANDICAP STAKES (CLASS 6) (Bath Summer Stayers' Series Qualifier) An enquiry was held to consider interference just inside the final two furlongs involving the winner, Barak Warrior (IRE), ridden by Silvestre De Sousa and OFFIAH’S BOY, placed fifth, ridden by Taylor Fisher.
De Sousa was cautioned for careless riding as he allowed Barak Warrior (IRE) to shift right-handed when insufficiently clear of OFFIAH’S BOY causing Fisher to take a slight check.
The winner, Barak Warrior (IRE), appeared to show improved form compared with its previous run at Nottingham on 19 May 2026, where the gelding finished eighth of ten runners, beaten 16 lengths.
James Keane’s explanation that Barak Warrior (IRE) had benefitted from being gelded and appreciated the step up in trip to 1 mile 3 ½ furlongs from 1 mile 2 furlongs, was noted.
Barak Warrior (IRE) was routine tested.
