Toby Eley the rider of Pudding Chare (IRE), placed sixth, had appeared to drop his hands and stop riding shortly before the winning post.
After being interviewed and shown recordings of the incident, Eley was suspended for 1 day for failing to take all reasonable and permissible measures to obtain the best possible placing on a horse that could have finished fifth.
Being a 7lb claimer, Eley was accompanied in the enquiry by a senior rider.
Following the race, Isobel Francis reported that Quiet Moment (IRE), unplaced, was slowly away.
