The winner, American Land (IRE), appeared to show improved form compared with its previous run at Wincanton on 17 December 2024, where the gelding finished sixth of eight runners, beaten by 21¾ lengths.
It was noted that American Land (IRE) had undergone wind surgery since its previous run.
Following the race, Isabel Williams reported that D'jo Dela Barriere (FR), unplaced, jumped left- handed; The Veterinary Officer examined the gelding post-race during routine testing and had nothing to report.
Richard Patrick reported that El Gavilan (FR), placed fifth, jumped left-handed.
