After jumping the final fence, there was interference between Eurkash (FR), placed third, which hung left-handed and Pottlereaghexpress (IRE), placed second, which hung right-handed, causing both runners to become unbalanced after bumping, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
Following the race, Ciaran Gethings reported that Eurkash (FR), placed third, hung left-handed throughout and Robbie Power reported that Princess Midnight (GB), placed eighth, made several jumping errors.
