The representative of Mickey Bowen felt that running without it did not affect the gelding’s performance.
The winner, Upfordebate (IRE), appeared to show improved form compared with its previous run at Cartmel on 21 July 2025, where the gelding finished fifth of ten runners, beaten by 35 lengths.
Patrick Neville could offer no explanation for Upfordebate (IRE)’s performance on this occasion.
