Going - Good to Yielding, good in places. Fine
Thornton and Harvey on the mark again with Rich Belief
He’s only had four runs over hurdles since he won a good pot in Kelso. Every year he’d win on the Flat. He was never going down but he’d just improve a little bit to win. You could set your clock by him as he’d always win once a year. He’s getting a bit older and I’d said I’d chance it. I don’t like running in claimers but he’s at that age and going back to a handicap he’s going to be in no man’s land. He enjoyed that and when he’s enjoying things he can do it very easy. These races give those older horses a chance of going and doing something again. The fact that he had a couple of runs on the Flat, going back over hurdles then he’s just that bit sharper. He travelled a bit easier in the race. I’m delighted with him.
Sageborough again shows his liking for Wexford
He won his maiden hurdle here and he was actually running a respectable race in Cheltenham when he fell two from home. Today off his mark we would have been disappointed if he hadn’t been involved. Sean was pleased with him. Coming down the hill it looked like he was going to be in trouble a bit, but he was tracking Henry’s horse and the gaps appeared for him because he tracked him. He jumped the last well and got on top, so we’re delighted. We thought a nice bit of him coming to his maiden hurdle here and then he obviously disappointed, but I’d say that’s his ground. He wears a tongue-tie for a reason. We won’t be letting him out (to grass).
Kilt takes division one for Rothwell and O'Callaghan
That’s fantastic as he’s been a very tricky horse and was a runaway on the Flat. I said to Shane to ride him four lengths last, to try and sit there as long as he could but if he was getting keen on him not to disappoint him. The owners are great. The Sloans are from the north and it’s the first horse they’ve had with me. A special mention to William Jones, who is from Dubai and married to one of my best friends. They are great supporters and have a few lovely horses at home to run over the next year. They are really good people and I’m delighted to have a winner for them.

Kiltealy Park swoops late to peg back Dani
It didn’t look likely and I’d say yer man must have been 1/100 jumping the last!. It’s nice to get her back on track; she had a few disappointing runs. She was very unlucky in the Blazers one year and then we put blinkers on her and she was a bit keen. We said we’d leave them off and try to settle her. It was ideal today in a four-runner race to lob around and get her confidence back. It’s great to win something that didn’t look likely. It looked all over and I would have been happy with second, but she galloped well to the line. We’ll see where we go from here.
