THE AIDAN & MARGARET MCDONNELL'S GOLDEN ANNIVERSARY OPEN HUNTERS' STEEPLE CHASE (CLASS 4) An enquiry was held to consider interference just after the line involving Brandy Mcqueen (IRE), placed fourth, ridden by Miss Lucy Brown and Royal Cave (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Miss Natasha Cookson.
Being a 7lb claiming amateur Miss Lucy Brown was offered the opportunity to be accompanied but declined.
Brown was suspended for 2 days for careless riding on dates to be notified to her by the Head Office of the British Horseracing Authority, as she allowed her mount to drift left- handed without sufficient correction, causing Royal Cave (IRE) to be caught tight against the rail.
Following the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that Brandy Mcqueen (IRE), placed fourth, finished lame on its right-fore.
