The winner Colonel Frank (GB) appeared to show improved form compared with its previous run at Newmarket on 2 November 2019 where the gelding finished eighth of the fourteen runners, beaten by 12 ½ lengths.
Mick Quinn’s explanation that the gelding appreciated the drop in trip to 5 furlongs on this occasion, was noted.
