Leaving the stalls Tempus Fugit (GB), unplaced, jumped awkwardly and shifted left-handed carrying Dark Flyer (GB), placed fourth, onto Basholo (IRE), unplaced, which was hampered and in turn resulted in Amjad (GB), placed fifth, losing its early position after having to be checked, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
For some distance approaching and rounding the home bend, Fristel (IRE), unplaced, hung right- handed despite the rider’s best efforts to correct the gelding carrying Agreeability (GB), placed sixth, wider off its intended line, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
An enquiry was held to consider interference just inside the final furlong involving the winner Roxzoff (IRE), ridden by Rossa Ryan, Agreeability (GB), placed sixth, ridden by Connor Beasley, Adatorio (GB), placed third, ridden by Adam Kirby, and Fristel, unplaced, ridden by Philip Prince.
The interference was found to be accidental as Roxzoff (IRE) had hung sharply left-handed as Ryan pulled his whip through for correction carrying Adatorio (GB) off its intended line, causing that gelding to be badly tightened for room and bump heavily with Agreeability (GB), which became unbalanced and then shifted left-handed bumping a weakening Fristel (IRE).
Following the race, Joshua Bryan reported that Dark Flyer (GB), placed fourth, was slowly away.
Philip Prince reported that Fristel (IRE), unplaced, ran too free and the Veterinary Officer reported that the gelding lost its right-fore shoe.
