FormscanBy Donal Murphy - With eight newcomers in the line-up, this looks wide open. Aidan O'Brien is represented by Western Australia, Whitsunday Islands, and Mount Tabora, with Ryan Moore aboard the latter. This son of Scat Daddy was sent off favourite on his two starts to date, but could only manage fifth and third respectively. It might be worth taking him on, and the one I'll side with is GIGA WHITE. The penny seemed to drop with him in the closing stages on his debut over the course and distance, finishing off his race strongly to take fourth. He should come on plenty for that experience, and can be expected to go close. Guaranteed actually finished ahead of the selection in second when they clashed on debut, and it would come as no surprise if he managed to go one place better now. Joseph O'Brien is represented by Esprit De Lumiere who is a half-brother to Just The Judge, winner of the 1,000 Guineas over the course in 2013. Other interesting newcomers in the line-up are Third World and Softly Strong. Both are owned by Moyglare Stud Farm, and it would come as little surprise if either were to take this.
