Formerly in the care of Cormac Doyle, the Walk In The Park five-year-old did well to win on his debut for Willie Mullins at Clonmel in January, beating nine-time point-to-point winner Magic Sadler into second. The youngest runner in the line-up here, the selection has the most scope for progression and could prove a class above his rivals. A close third in a bumper at Fairyhouse in November and the winner of three point-to-points, Catalani is the second choice. Providing Tadgh Stafford with his first track success at Cork on Easter Monday, Lawful Ruler warrants respect, while Tetratema Cup third Cold Old Fire and last year's winner Ta Se Rua are others for the shortlist.

He is brilliant to jump, made one mistake which was my fault - but I liked him. We finished a long way clear of the third. We have been trying to replace Billaway and I had Cause For Comment last year who didn't quite measure up, so I got this horse and I'm hoping to make him into a Billaway-type horse. Being by Walk In The Park attracted me to him, as I love those, and he is for sale to stay in the yard. Cormac Doyle, who is fairly sharp, recommended him strongly and said he was weak in his first few runs before winning a point-to-point on his fourth start. I'll look to a winners' of one hunters chase next and maybe aim him for the Ladies Cup at Punchestown then and afterwards to Stratford. Next year, as a six-year-old, I'd hope to work towards Cheltenham.

He didn't really get the three miles and a furlong there, so I was hoping the trip today would suit. I've had him since he was a foal and he is a family pet. All the lads in the yard ride him and it's unlucky for Evan Daly. He would have been riding him but he was short one ride in a point-to-point to ride in this race. Andy gave him a super ride and is great value for his 7lb. His dam is a half-sister to horse called Lough Derg that Martin Pipe used to have.
