Formscan By Alan Magee - ROPED IN showed steady improvement in three maiden outings and made a bright start in handicaps when stepped up to this trip at Galway last month. The sister to recent Munster National winner Ontheropes kept on well into third, beaten less than two lengths, behind the progressive Glenquin Castle and is taken to reverse places on these terms. The booking of Jack Foley adds to confidence. Glenquin Castle has really made hay this year taking advantage of lowly marks both over hurdles and fences to complete a five-timer. It’s to his advantage in the battle with the handicapper that he does little in front. Humps And Bumps is another to consider after dividing the aforementioned pair at Galway, while Stockdale and Downpatrick maiden winner Gateau De Miel are others to consider.

An extended handicap hurdle for four years old and upwards rated 80-109
Weights - Top weight in the original handicap and after the time of declaration shall not be less than 12st and the minimum weight shall not be less than 9st 12lbs
Penalties - Winner of a hurdle race after calculation of the handicap shall carry 5lb extra for each hurdle race won.
