Formscan By John O'Riordan - A three-time winner on the Flat, TRUBSHAW(10) has the potential to make up into a smart horse over hurdles. The Henry De Bromhead-trained gelding was an impressive scorer at Killarney last month, before subsequently running well when fifth off a higher mark at Down Royal. A front runner who stays well, the son of Sixties Icon, should be ideally suited to this tight track. Kilbeggan runner-up Blue Johnl brings the best recent form over flights into the contest. Although no match for the winner last time, the John Ryan-trained gelding kept on well for minor honours. Point-to-point second Local Resident may prefer further in time but shouldn't be ruled out in a race where few hold legitimate claims.
