J.E. Harnett, rider of Baron Blake (FR), trained by John Joseph Hanlon, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung right throughout

S. Coen, rider of Jawhary (GB), trained by Adrian McGuinness, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount received interference at the first bend and also hung right throughout

K.G. Kennedy, rider of Tartaraghan, trained by John C. McConnell, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that he had to take a check at the end of the back straight

The Raceday Stewards interviewed J.E. Harnett, rider of Baron Blake (FR), concerning his use of the whip around the bottom bend and into the straight of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted he had used his whip inappropriately. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards were satisfied the rider was in breach of R10.3.(b)(out of contention) and having considered his record (second offence), they suspended him for four racedays

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident at the first bend involving Baron Blake (FR), ridden by J.E

Harnett, Jawhary (GB), ridden by S. Coen, and Johnny's Oasis (GB), ridden by M.W. Hassett where it appeared Baron Blake maneuvered right bumping the two horses outside him. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. J.E. Harnett said he had to go right to avoid clipping a heel. S. Coen and M.W. Hassett both said they received bumps from their inside. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards found J.E. Harnett was in breach of Rule 214 (careless riding) and having considered his clean record, the Raceday Stewards suspended him for two racedays

The Raceday Stewards reviewed an incident at the end of the back straight involving Tartaraghan, ridden by K.G

Kennedy where it appeared he got tight for room. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted
