Permission was given for Marshman (GB), Heathcliff (GB), Run Boy Run (GB) to all wear a red hood to the start; for Noble Truth (FR) to go early to post; for Juan Les Pins (GB) to go early wearing a red hood to the start and to be mounted in the chute.
Approaching the final 1 ½ furlongs the winner, Marshman (GB), shifted right-handed moving Heathcliff (GB), placed fourth, off its intended line causing the gelding to become short of room which resulted in Saint Lawrence (IRE), unplaced, to be caught on heels and eased.
After viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Marshman (GB).
Following the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that Noble Truth (FR), unplaced, had bled from the nose.
Hollie Doyle reported that Saint Lawrence (IRE), unplaced, suffered interference inside the final 1 ½ furlongs.
Frederick Larson reported that Juan Les Pins (GB), unplaced, was denied a clear run inside the final furlong.
