The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident in the closing stages of this race involving Mr Vettori, ridden by S. Foley, unplaced, and Unbreakable Duke, ridden by K.J. Leonard, placed fourth, where it appeared Mr Vettori had to check. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. S. Foley stated that he had to take a check to avoid running up on heels. K. J. Leonard stated that his mount rolled left and he corrected it. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards took no further action other than to remind K. J. Leonard to react quicker when in a similar situation
S. Foley, rider of Mr Vettori, trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that he had to take a precautionary check one and a half furlongs out.
For two years old colts and geldings only, maidens at starting that are EBF eligible
