Permission was given for Abbey Heights (GB) and Supreme King (IRE) to go early to post, for Leadenhall Street (GB) to wear a red hood to post, and for Expert Agent (GB) to be mounted in the chute.
An enquiry was held to consider interference entering the first bend, involving Intervention (GB), unplaced, ridden by Alistair Rawlinson, Tiger Tulip (GB), placed fifth, ridden by William Pyle, and Persian Spirit (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Sam Hitchcott.
Rawlinson was suspended for 3 days for careless riding as he allowed his mount to shift right-handed, taking Pyle off his intended line, which in turn caused Hitchcott to suffer interference against the running rail.

Following the race, Fern O’Brien reported that ORCHESTRA (FR), unplaced, clipped a heel; the Veterinary Officer examined ORCHESTRA (FR) post-race and further reported that the gelding was lame on its right-fore.
