The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident in the straight involving Cherry Hill Girl, ridden by A.J. Slattery, and So Must I, ridden by J.M. Sheridan where it appeared Cherry Hill Girl appeared to manoeuvre left interfering with So Must I. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. A.J. Slattery said he saw a bit of space but ended up not having the horse to get into it. J.M. Sheridan said he held his line all the way up the straight. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards found A.J. Slattery was in breach of Rule 214 in that he had ridden carelessly and having considered his clean record in this regard, the Raceday Stewards suspended him for two racedays
