Permission was given for Beauzon (GB) to wear a red hood, go early to post and be mounted in the chute and for Friday Again (IRE) to wear a red hood and go early to post.
Permission was also given for South Shore Island (IRE) to wear a red hood to post and for Muma Myflo (GB) to be mounted in the chute.
Leaving the stalls, Ballsgrove Boy (GB), unplaced, jumped right-handed which result in Muma Myflo (GB) to be moved right-handed in turn bumping Initial Blue (IRE), placed fourth, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
Following the race, Andrew Breslin reported that Beauzon (GB), unplaced, jumped badly left-handed from the stalls resulting in the gelding being slowly away.
