Permission was given for Powdering (IRE) to go early to post; for Deadly Kiss (USA) to be mounted in the chute and go early to post; and for Scarboroughwarning (GB) and Glamour Show (GB) to both wear a red hood to post.
Approaching ½ furlong out, THURSDAY’S CHILD, placed second, shifted quickly left-handed away from the whip, taking Improve Your Move (IRE), placed third, Glamour Show (GB), unplaced, and Deadly Kiss (USA), placed fifth, slightly off their intended lines, which caused the rider of Maui Breeze (GB), unplaced, to take a check off heels, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of any horse.
Following the race, Callum Hutchinson reported that Glamour Show (GB), unplaced, hung left-handed; and Warren Fentiman reported that Court Drive (IRE), unplaced, ran too free and as a result was forced to check off heels 4 ½ furlongs out.
