Wodhooh was made to work in the Grade 3 Irish Stallion Farms EBF Kerrymount Mares Hurdle, but ultimately won for the ninth time in 10 National Hunt races.

Gordon Elliott's progressive mare came off the bridle in her pursuit of front-running Feet Of A Dancer entering the home straight, but warmed to her task and got on terms with that rival and, indeed, headed her in jumping the last.

The 8/15 favourite soon had that rival's measure on the run-in and stayed on well in the hands of Jack Kennedy to land this Grade 3 by two and a-quarter lengths from Feet Of A Dancer (7/2).

The Le Havre mare has banked over €250,000 in her career.

She gave Gordon Elliott a double at Leopardstown (following on from Lynches Knock in the opener) and an across-the-card treble as Last Round was victorious in Limerick.

The trainer said: “She doesn’t do anything fancy at home. She’s very laid-back, but she knows how to win.

“I think we went for the right race. We were toying with going for the two-mile race and it could have been a bit sharp around there for her today.

“It turned into a bit of a sprint, and she nearly got caught napping for a couple of strides, but she picked up and galloped.

“Two miles around Cheltenham could be a bit sharp for her, so I’d say she’ll go for the Mares' Hurdle. She’s shown again how tough she is.

“I doubt she’ll run again before Cheltenham.”

Paddy Power kept Wodhooh unchanged at 2/1 favourite for the Mares' Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival.
