Turn On The Jets does just that in Dundalk

Turn On The Jets got off the mark at the fourth time of asking in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Race in Dundalk.

Ronan Whelan 's mount was away smartly in this five-furlong assignment and soon tracked Obtain and Different Vibes in third.

Turn On The Jets delivered his challenge widest of all and picked up well to arrive in front inside the final furlong.

He was soon ridden to go and win his race, and had too much for the runner-up Sacred Territory

The 5/1 shot won by a length and a quarter from the 7/4 runner-up. Obtain, the uneasy 13/8 favourite, weakened to fourth at the business end.

Trainer Jack Davison said: “He was always very sharp mentally and we ran him on the opening day of the turf season. He was probably a little weak but was showing up well in his work and seemed so straightforward that it made sense to run him.

“He grew and developed so we put him away with a winter campaign in mind and it’s worked out well. He will be a nicer three-year-old.

“We’ll have a look at the programme and there may be a conditions race or a rated race for him in the next few months.

“It was a well-executed ride by Ronan and it was great to see him really stretch his neck out. He really wants it.”
