It would have been nice if he’d done it in one of those 20 grand auction maiden hurdles, but we had to eventually move on and give up on that. His jumping over fences seems to be a lot better than over hurdles and Donagh said that’s what kept him in the race today with the early pace. It’s nice to get that under his belt and hopefully he’s going the right way. I wouldn’t have any worry stepping him up in trip and he might mix it over hurdles and fences at Galway.

There was a delay to the start of the seventh race due to the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Medical Officer attending to G. Brouder following a fall in the previous race
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Gimme A Buzz, trained by E. Bolger, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal
D.J. O'Keeffe, rider of Newtown Rambler, trained by Henry de Bromhead, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount stopped quickly
J. Coen, rider of Spring Meadow, trained by E. McNamara, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount lost his action after a mistake jumping the third fence and pulled up
K.E Buckley, rider of Standing Orders, trained by Thomas Gibney, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount never travelled
