Formscan By Tom Weekes - CROOKED PATH disappointed last month but had previously shown ability and now contests an ordinary maiden. Well-bred for the Flat, the selection seems ground-versatile and while he needs to show more that at Punchestown, his Limerick Christmas-form was useful, where he beat Dawn Coming who subsequently finished nicely ahead of today’s runner Beauvallon. Beauvallon, a half-brother to English 2,000 winner Poetic Flare, didn’t show much on his Irish debut at Thurles but can improve while Direct Approach was well beaten on his hurdling debut.
