Formscan By Tom Weekes - OKITA SOUSHI drops markedly from his optimum distance but has class. He finished third at Royal Ascot in June and while his best form is over staying distances and won over two-miles here recently, finished second over a-furlong-and-70-yards shorter distance at Listed level last May. San Andreas is rated 1lb lower and has recent form but himself tries a middle-distance for the first time, which is a big concern. Casanova is suited by this distance but his best form is on turf and will have March's Lincoln in his sights, having finishing fourth in last year's renewal. Dash Of Spice, a 1,200 pounds purchase last October, is held by the selection while John Alexander steps up from winning a lesser handicap. Cristal Clere won a December maiden but was well held on his last run.
