Formscan By Alan Magee - MISS MIRABELL won a Gowran maiden in runaway fashion last spring and wasn’t disgraced subsequently in decent company. The Johnny Murtagh-trained filly made a bright start on the all-weather when finishing well behind Yerwanthere, and her stable has recorded a couple of winners here in recent weeks. Mulgrave cost just 5,000 out of a claimer and has proved an inspired acquisition winning four times all over this course and distance. He comes here in the form of his life and is on a hat-trick following a clearcut win a fortnight ago. However an 17lb hike for those recent wins means he’s now off a career high mark. Ransom is also on a hat-trick after two course and distance wins while Pierre Lapin is also effective around here and is closely matched with the selection.
