Formscan By John O'Riordan - Although yet to race on the all-weather, BRIGHT STRIPES sets a fair standard in this Listed contest. Group 2 placed as a juvenile last season, the Andy Oliver-trained colt won at this grade at the Curragh earlier in the campaign, while he was far from disgraced in stronger company at Leopardstown on Champions Weekend. Bellezza proved rather disappointing at the Curragh earlier this month but that was almost certainly not her true form. On earlier efforts, the Ger Lyons-trained filly would hold every chance in a race such as this. Leopardstown maiden winner Platoon takes a steep rise in class here but the Aidan O'Brien-trained colt is clearly thought capable of making his presence felt in what is just his second career start.
