Formscan By Gary Carson - ZAIDPOUR is the obvious one to beat after a good performance to land the Hatton's Grace at Fairyhouse at the start of the month. He proved too strong for Monksland and Voler La Vedette then and there doesn't appear to be any reason why he shouldn't confirm those placings. The step up in trip is not an issue as he has won over three miles before, when beating Voler La Vedette at Gowran last January. Connections feel Zaidpour is a stronger horse this season and he could develop into Ireland's leading staying hurdling. Monksland stayed on well to finish second in the Hatton's Grace and this extra half mile looks right up his street. He may just have to play second fiddle again however. Voler La Vedette has been a wonderful racemare but may just be below her best this season judged on her two efforts so far. It will be fascinating to see how Weapon's Amnesty gets on on his return but this is obviously a prep run for a return to chasing.
