Formscan - GENERAL MEDRANO has relished the switch to larger obstacles and made it 2-2 over fences when taking a 7lb rise in his stride to win well at Huntingdon three weeks ago. Emma Lavelle's gelding has gone up another 9lb for that victory but remains on an upward curve and this step up in trip could unlock further improvement. Brave Kingdom has won two of his three starts over hurdles and is interesting on his handicap debut for Paul Nicholls, but it is nearly two years since we have seen him on a racecourse. The lack of a recent run also tempers enthusiasm for Ree Okka, but he mixed it in good company last season and must be respected.
