FormscanBy Michael Graham - An each-way chance is taken on BLACKCATBLACKITTEN at a big price. Joseph O'Brien's filly attracted some support before her debut on testing ground in Gowran Park and made some headway to finish sixth of 14. It wouldn't be a surprise to see her step up on that initial effort. She has a good low draw in four to work from and is taken to get the better of stablemate Thundering Nights, who was a couple of places in front of her in Gowran. Dermot Weld's Mazara has been chalked up at 'tips on' (10/11) by the bookmakers at the time of writing. The form of her debut third in Naas last month is very strong as the winner of that race, Fancy Blue, has since won at Listed level. In addition, the horse behind her in fourth (Siamese) came out and comfortably won a fillies' maiden in Dundalk. This ground will be very different to the quick terrain Mazara encountered in Naas, though. She does have the ideal stall in one to race from. American Pharoah filly Elfin Queen showed improvement to be fourth on her second start. Again the ground is an unknown, though. On jockey bookings the pick of Jim Bolger's newcomers looks to be Tejano.
