Formscan By Alan Magee - FAKIR D’OUDAIRIES has filled the runner-up spot on his last five completed starts and can gain a deserved win here. Before that sequence the Joseph O’Brien-trained gelding took advantage of the fall of Samcro two out to win the Grade 1 Drinmore Novice Chase over this course and distance and he’s come up against star performers on his latest two starts. Allaho burned off his rivals from the front in the Ryanair Chase but the selection kept on gamely into second and a reproduction of that form should be good enough. Battleoverdoyen impressed when beating Easy Game in a Grade 2 over this trip at Down Royal in the autumn but hasn’t come near that form since and was particularly disappointing at Thurles last time. He appears best when fresh and hopefully can bounce back after a break.
