Formscan By Donal Murphy - Paul Townend has chosen to ride DIAKALI over Dogora and with this in mind the former is sided with. The French import was purchased by Willie Mullins for €160,000 at the Arqana Deauville Sale in July of last year and he impressed on his Irish debut when winning at Gowran in November. He is a general 16/1 shot for the Triumph Hurdle at Cheltenham in March and if he is to fulfil that engagement he would want to be winning this contest. Stablemate Dogora will be ridden by David Casey and he is sure to give the selection plenty to do. He won on his Irish debut at Limerick but wasn't as impressive as Diakali. The Gordon Elliott trained Flaxen Flare will bid to overturn the Mullins duo but he will need to improve again from his win at Leopardstown if he is to seriously challenge the selection. Faanan Aldaar ran well on her two hurdling starts to date but she looks up against it here as does Baby Jake who makes his hurdling debut.
