This French bred son of Grand Tresor won a point-to-point over the course in February of 2011 on his third career start. He wasn't seen again until December of last year where he made his racecourse debut at Clonmel. He was quickly turned out two more times last month and he got a nice handicap rating of 88 after his three efforts in novice contests. Carrying just 10-9 (Shane Crimin takes four pounds off) he should go close here on his handicap debut. Take A Shot won a similar contest at Down Royal on St Stephen's Day and he is sure to give a good account of himself with Jody McGarvey aboard. Popaflora finished a close third behind Take A Shot in that Down Royal contest and with blinkers fitted for the first time, he can be expected to run well with Andrew Ring in the saddle. The 11yo Torremuelle is another worth consideration after he ran a fine race at Tramore last time out.
