MATSUKAZE sprinted clear of his field when making his handicap debut at Navan last month and the handicapper has hit him with a stone for that effort. He looks capable of defying that rise given the style of his victory and the fact that he looks open to more improvement. Beneficial Spirit could be a danger off a nice mark back over hurdles. He won off 107 over fences last time and the trainer reported that he had blown up on his previous hurdles outing having missed work due to injury. He's off a mark of 114 over fences now so his rating of 100 over timber is obviously tempting. Tennis Cap was sent off favourite for an ultra competitive heat at Leopardstown last time but never really got into contention. He commands respect here, however, and has been dropped a pound for that run.
