Formscan By Gary Carson - EXPANDING UNIVERSE didn't give his true running on his hurdling debut over Christmas and is worth another chance here. Having been sent off favourite then he dropped away tamely from two out after being prominent. The Galileo gelding was reported as post race normal but surely something had to be amiss and he's much better than that judged on his previous bumper form. Morning Assembly ran well to chase home Sizing Gold at Leopardstown over Christmas. The race didn't look to have much strength in depth but he could be a player here given improvement. Mr Groocock looked decent when winning a Clonmel bumper on his debut but hasn't impressed with his jumping since going over hurdles and needs a more polished display today. Fergiethelegend unshipped his jockey as they jumped off last time but ran a cracker at Punchestown in late October when just going down by a neck. He looks like he needs a trip though and this drop back probably isn't ideal.
