Formscan By Donal Murphy - SAINT GERVAIS is a tentative choice in this competitive contest. The John Kiely trained gelding failed to win during his summer campaign but put in some good performances. He disappointed on his last start at Navan and on his last start over hurdles but if he can recapture his best form he has to have every chance of landing the spoils. Joxer ran very well to finish second in a Grade 2 hurdle at Down Royal last time out behind Monksland and with Mikey Butler taking a valuable five pounds off a good effort can be expected from him. Jane Mangan has formed a great partnership with Beef To The Heels with the Gordon Elliott trained gelding winning his last two. Upped eight pounds for his last success, he may struggle in his bid to complete a hat-trick. Celtic Cailin ran very well in Graded company last time out and she should go close carrying a low weight while King Of Queens and Citizenship are others to consider.
